      • $2,000 sign-on or retention incentive to all eligible BTU workers.
      • Travel assistance rate of $0.70/km.
      • Ferry and bridge reimbursement.
      • $200 subsistence allowance paid 7 days per week.
      • All overtime is paid as double time during the fall turnaround (subject to and in accordance with the applicable collective agreement).

    The origins of the name: Operation Mallard
     

    The mallard, a native bird species to the Maritimes, embodies important characteristics necessary for a successful turnaround, such as commitment and resilience. 

    Furthermore, it represents the idea of change, new beginnings and hope, making it an ideal symbol for the 2024 fall turnaround in the region.
