Canaport LNG

In 2004, Irving Oil partnered with Spanish energy company Repsol to develop Canaport LNG, a liquefied natural gas (LNG) regassification terminal in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Canaport LNG is the first and only LNG terminal to be built in Canada. With a send-out capacity of more than 1 billion cubic feet (BCF), or 28 million cubic metres, of natural gas per day, and a storage capacity of 10 BCF of natural gas, the facility represents a significant source of natural gas to the northeast of North America.
