Primrose Scholarship at the University of New Brunswick Saint John
The Primrose Scholarship is an undergraduate entrance award that was established in 1999. It is awarded annually to an undergraduate from the University of New Brunswick Saint John campus. This $5,000 scholarship recognizes academic achievement, community involvement and athletic leadership.
Applicants are required to send a cover letter requesting consideration, a resume, their latest high school transcript and a 500-word essay on a topic chosen by the University. For more information, visit http://www.unbsj.ca/primrose/
Irving Oil Scholarships at Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN)
Our donation of $250,000 to Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) created the largest endowed scholarships fund at the university. Full-time students entering any field of study with high academic standing are eligible.
Two $6,000 scholarships are awarded annually to the general first-year student body and one or more $3,000 scholarships are awarded to dependents of Irving Oil employees. Irving Oil employee family scholarship program
Open to family members of Irving Oil employees who are planning to attend university or college, this scholarship program provides for a total of nine $2000 renewable university scholarships and two $1000 renewable college scholarships each year.
Renewals of existing scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic standing. To be considered for renewal, eligible students must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and submit a short renewal form. Applications for this scholarship program are administered through Irving Oil’s Human Resources department.
