As part of the regular inspection of equipment at our refinery, colour-coded tags let others know work is taking place.

We are committed to improving our processes and behaviours to ensure our company provides the very safest workplace possible.

While much of our safety programs and processes are focused on our operations, creating a safe workplace doesn’t begin and end with our facilities. We also encourage our employees to work safely while traveling, with the introduction of our Distracted Driving Policy. Due to a number of studies linking mobile phone use while driving to accidents, this policy prohibits the use of mobile phones while an employee is driving, with the exception of emergencies.  Another safety measure we have taken at our offices is the installation of Automated External Defibrillators (AED). With the addition of training and onsite medical personnel, the AEDs have already saved lives in the face of cardiac emergencies.
