Sobeys and Irving Team Up Across Atlantic Canada To Lower Your Gas Price
Shopping For Groceries At Sobeys Will Save You Money At Irving
Program begins Nov. 7 and lasts through the holiday season
SAINT JOHN, NB – Sobeys and Irving Oil are pleased to announce that the popular gas savings program created earlier this year will now be offered throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island.
The program begins Nov. 7 and will last 13 weeks.
A minimum purchase of $50 at a participating Sobeys earns 1 cent off a litre of gas at a participating Irving station. The gas savings program is convenient and easy: the more you spend, the more you save. Grocery purchases totalling $250 or more at a participating Sobeys earns 9 cents off per litre of Irving gas.
“This program is powerful because all you have to do is shop for groceries the way you always do,” said Harry Hadiaris, Director of Irving’s Business to Consumer division. “But if you don’t shop at Sobeys, then you won’t be able to save. It’s as simple as that.”
At checkout, consumers will receive a coupon attached to the bottom of the receipt with their savings based on the amount of the purchase.
“Another great feature of the program is that you can combine your savings from multiple visits to Sobeys, and that way you’ll save even more,” said Hadiaris. “We are proud to team up with Sobeys to help people throughout Atlantic Canada lower their price of gas at the pump.”
There are 82 Sobeys stores in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island participating in the program, and 270 Irving stations in the gas savings network. Savings are good for up to 75 litres per transaction.
