Customers invited to visit Kearney Lake's new Bluecanoe
HALIFAX, NS – Irving Oil will celebrate the opening of its newest Bluecanoe on Kearney Lake Road in Halifax today. The 7,000 square foot facility is centrally located just off of Highway 102, at the intersection of Parkland Drive and Kearney Lake Road.

Serving motorists and nearby residents, the Bluecanoe store will offer low sulphur gasoline and diesel at ten fueling pumps, along with its trademark exceptional customer service, an array of fresh pastries, grab’n’go sandwiches, fresh hot coffee and ice-cold beverages. As always, the site will offer Irving’s really, really clean washrooms.

Later this fall, a Subway sandwich shop and full-service branch of Heritage Credit Union will open in the building. The credit union will include a 24-hour, drive-through ATM.

“This store was designed to meet the needs of both visitors and residents of the Kearney Lake area,” says Dave Adams, Manager of Convenience Retail Operations for Irving Oil. “Whether our customer is a family on the go looking for a convenient place to fuel up with our clean gasoline, or a local area customer who needs to pick up milk or bread on the way home from work, this site will meet their needs. We look forward to serving customers at this new location and to continuing our proud tradition of friendly and efficient service, clean fuel, and clean stores.”

Irving Oil opened its first service station in Nova Scotia in 1928. Today, there are close to 100 retail sites from one end of Nova Scotia to the other. Irving Oil employs more than 1,000 Nova Scotians.
